For the first clip he wasn’t wrong he said that he was the best player on the world which was true, the second and third best player thing was probably a joke. I doubt even Messi would get offended over such a thing. When he says that he is more expensive than Messi, he is not personally attacking Messi. For the third clip he literally said that Messi is one of the best and that there is a debate because they have only played each other one time so they will see in the future. When he says that he is better than Messi, this is also not a personal attack on Messi. He is simply being self confident and probably still has a lot of respect for Messi. He was probably also fed up with the fact that this question was constantly asked at him, and him and Messi are not friends or anything, he has the right to say that he is a better player than Messi. In other sports where there is a debate between such players one has most definitely said that he is better than the other. When the fans chant Messi’s name, what did they expect him to do? Just let them do it? Ronaldo is competitive in nature, he grew up competing with others in a rough environment, working hard his whole life. I people constantly badger me about a player being better than me, I would probably also say “nah I’m better, they just mad cuz they know I am.” It’s essentially the just confidence in a joking manner. Again when he says that the golden boot is better for him as a trophy than Ballondor, it’s HIS opinion. He has won both, so he is allowed to say that one is of more value to him, and that he wouldn’t swap it for the ballondor. He actually makes a very valid point when he says that he is tired of the debate and that he thinks he is better than messi, if millions of fans are debating you with another person on who is better at something do you just say that “yes in my opinion Messiis better than me?” Ronaldo also gets taunted for doing bad by danish fans, probably being compared to Messi, so he just gives a response to the fans. Nothing wrong with this, again not a personal attack. None of these clips are personal attacks on Messi, he is always either being provoked by journalists or fans. I don’t think he handled it in the best way possible, but I also do not think Messi “lives rent free in his head” or he hates Messi. Also he again, grew up in a way which makes him so proud to be the best, and if a journalists asks who Ronaldo thinks is better, him or Messi it is far from a personal attack

Dunno... All those UA-cam videos nowadays claiming Guardiola was some sort of amazing midfielder... I was a Barca fan at the time he played. He was a star, but only because he was at Barcelona, not because he was great. Even for Barca standards he used to be just another player, outshined by most of his fellow teammates in the starting eleven, with few exceptions. He is a great manager, for sure. 10/10. But don't project that over his previous career as a player where he was 8/10.
